{ PLATE IT UP }

These plates were created for No.35 restaurant at The Hempel hotel in London. They are a bit gloomy but as-well funny and would fit perfectly all together on the kitchen wall. At least I would be too stingy eating from them as the price for one is 60 pound, and for all six 300 pounds. Designed by Yasmin Sandytia, they are the first pieces in the hotel´s new  limited-edition designer china range.

Þessir postulínsdiskar voru sérstaklega gerðir fyrir nýja veitingastaðinn No. 35 sem er á The Hempel hótelinu í London. Diskarnir eru fremur þungbúnir og fúlir en þó skemmtilegir á sinn hátt. Þetta er fyrsta línan af "limited-editon" postulíni sem staðurinn mun selja. Hönnuður á bak við diskana er Yasmin Sandytia og er verðið á einum disk er 60 pund og fyrir alla sex 300 pund. Ég myndi varla tíma að borða af þeim, en þeir myndu aftur á móti plumma sig vel á eldhús eða -borðstofu vegg og setja flottan svip á rýmið.

Snillingarnir á bak við hönnunarmerkið Underground Sundae í Nýja Sjálandi, eiga ekki í vandræðum með að koma skoðunum sínum á framfæri. Hönnun þarf ekki að fjöldaframleiða og vera úr vinsælu efni til að hún sé metin að verðleikum.

What a happy place, and it is a bank! I hope that everyone that enter that house will leave with a smile, at least I would! This bank is in Tokyo, Japan, designed by Emmanuelle Mooureux architects. If you go there try to ask the cashier for an ice cream :)

Ég trúi ekki öðru en að allir labbi glaðir út úr þessum banka. Svona líflegt, hreint og hressandi umhverfi ætti allavegana að fá fólk til að brosa út í annað. Þetta minnir mig frekar á ísbúð en banka, en engu að síður er þetta eitthvað sem íslenskir bankar ættu að taka sér til fyrirmyndar. Bankinn er i gleðiborginni Tokyo, Japan og er hannaður af arkitektum Emmanuelle Moureux.

I would love to have one in my bedroom and maby another one in the bathroom. I´m in love with cool ideas and recycling!

Endurnýting er í hávegum höfð hjá fyrirtækinu Bordbar í Köln þýskalandi sem selur ný sem notuð flugfreyju "trollý"með sniðugu notagildi. Trollýin (Á slæmri íslensku :O) er hægt að fá með mismunandi grafík í hinum og þessum litum. Skemmtileg tilbreyting á heimilið, en hægt er að nota þau sem skóskáp, náttborð, skjalaskáp eða bara í hvað sem þér dettur í hug!

Ég er klárlega með próf á svona trollý, svo ég hefði ekkert á móti að eiga eitt til tvö! Ekki að það sé flókið að stjórna þessu :)
